Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti reflected on his team’s 2-0 victory over Palermo today, with goals from Kenan Yildiz and Arkadiusz Milik sealing the win for the Turin side.
“I appreciated the high tempo of the match, which made it a valuable friendly despite a few moments where we lost possession due to rushing,” Spalletti said.
“We need to find a better balance, but I saw a team that showed more confidence. There were also some positive aspects from our defeat against Inter, and it’s good that when things don’t go our way, it pushes us to be more focused and humble,” the coach added.
Spalletti also singled out Douglas Luiz for his performance in the game.
“Douglas Luiz will probably stay this season. I’ve been giving him regular playing time to get to know him better,” the manager explained.
“He definitely has talent, but we need to consider how he moves on the pitch. He can play alongside both a more attacking or a more defensive partner. Additionally, he is versatile in building play and delivering through passes. He knows how to play football, so I am pleased with him.”
