Inter has identified a replacement for defender Denzel Dumfries, who transferred to Real Madrid during this transfer window. According to Italian media, the Milan-based club is currently negotiating the acquisition of Jed Spence, the England international from Tottenham.
Sources from both Italy and England agree that Spence is enthusiastic about the prospect of joining Inter, a club that secured the domestic double this year and will once again compete in the UEFA Champions League. The player’s versatility is a key asset, as he can operate as a central defender on either flank or as a full-back on both sides.
Spence is not new to Serie A, having already played for Genoa on loan from Tottenham between January and June 2024.
It is also worth noting that Jed had an impressive 2026 World Cup campaign, helping the England national team reach the semifinals.
