Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Mudryk described his suspension as “the toughest period of my career.” He took to Instagram to comment on the lifting of his ban and his return to the sport:

“After a long battle, the four-year suspension imposed on me has been overturned, and I am now free to resume my career immediately,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I am grateful that this process has come to an end, that I have been allowed to return to football, and that I can now look forward to the future.”

To recall, the verdict from the English Football Association stated:

“The Football Association and Mr. Mudryk, with the consent of WADA, have now resolved the appeal proceedings.

As part of the agreement, Mr. Mudryk acknowledged the violations brought against him and accepted a period of suspension equal to the time already served up to the date of the agreement.

Mr. Mudryk is no longer suspended and may return to competition with immediate effect,” the FA’s statement read.
