Italian media reports have emerged suggesting that Gabriel Jesus has given his approval for a move to Napoli. However, before making any official offer to Arsenal and the Brazilian forward, Napoli must first offload Romelu Lukaku and Noah Lang.
Napoli currently has three experienced central strikers in their squad, but as of now, only Rasmus Højlund is guaranteed to remain at the club until the end of the summer transfer window.
Lukaku is preparing to leave the club amid interest from Fenerbahçe and MLS. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli has lowered their initial valuation of the 33-year-old player from €12 million and may be willing to accept offers in the range of €7–8 million for Belgium’s all-time top scorer.
Gabriel Jesus and Napoli’s head coach Massimiliano Allegri share the same agent, Giovanni Branchini, who has been spotted at Napoli’s preseason training sessions in recent days.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Jesus has approved the move to Napoli but has yet to receive any official proposals from the club. Everything depends on which player—Lukaku or Noah Lang—leaves first to free up budget space and a spot in the squad.
