Newcastle Rejects Tottenham’s £80m Bid for Sandro Tonali
Newcastle United have rejected an official bid from Tottenham Hotspur for the transfer of Sandro Tonali, according to insider Fabrizio Romano.
The offer was reportedly valued at around £80 million.
Tonali is prepared to leave Newcastle this summer following the club’s failure to qualify for European competitions last season. While Newcastle are open to selling the Italian midfielder, they are demanding a substantial fee. This stance is confirmed by reports of Tottenham’s rejected proposal.
Newcastle have already agreed on a major outgoing transfer this summer, with Anthony Gordon moving to Barcelona for £70 million. Now, the focus shifts to Tonali.
Tonali’s agent, Beppe Riso, has publicly acknowledged the high likelihood of his client’s summer transfer. Ultimately, the outcome will depend on the price and whether Tottenham or another interested party submits an offer that Newcastle will seriously consider.
