Brazil star Neymar has resumed training with the national team, although his participation in the upcoming World Cup match against Haiti remains in serious doubt.

The forward, who was a surprise inclusion in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the tournament, trained separately from the main group on Tuesday. Neymar followed an individual recovery program focused on fitness work and did not take part in ball drills or contact exercises with teammates.

Brazil’s coaching staff are reportedly taking a cautious approach to the player’s recovery following the shin injury he suffered while playing for Santos. There is no intention to rush him back into action before he is fully fit.

Neymar missed Brazil’s opening World Cup match against Morocco, which ended in a 1-1 draw, and current indications suggest he is unlikely to feature in the team’s second group-stage fixture.

According to local reports and medical assessments, the 34-year-old is still short of optimal match condition. The expectation is that Neymar could be ready to make a meaningful contribution in Brazil’s final group game against Scotland.

For now, Brazil will continue to monitor his progress as they prepare for the crucial clash with Haiti.
