England defender Nico O’Reilly will miss the final Nations League matches due to injury, sidelining him from Thomas Tuchel‘s squad.

The left-back played the full 90 minutes in the 2-3 loss against Spain but was absent from the subsequent 2-0 victory over Czech Republic. O’Reilly has since returned to Manchester City for comprehensive medical evaluation. He is confirmed to be out for the away fixture against Croatia on Saturday and the return match against the Czech Republic next Tuesday.

The coaching staff of the Three Lions has opted not to call up a replacement for the injured defender. In the latest game, Lewis Hall of Newcastle stepped in at left-back, impressing with his combination play alongside former club teammate Anthony Gordon.

An update from the #ThreeLions camp in Croatia, as Nico O'Reilly returns to Manchester City for further assessment.
