Porto Includes Ukrainian Forward Matvei Ponomarenko in Transfer Shortlist
Porto has shown interest in the 20-year-old Ukrainian forward Matvey Ponomarenko. Alongside Brazilian Marcos Leonardo, the “Dragons” scouts have included the young Ukrainian in their list of potential attacking reinforcements for the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, these are currently only vague intentions. As of now, no official offers have been made by the Portuguese club. It is worth noting that Ponomarenko’s contract with Dynamo runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated at €12 million. The media has frequently reported the Kyiv club’s desire to secure a new deal with this highly promising talent, but so far, no agreement has been reached.
Portuguese outlet A Bola highlights that the transfer could prove complicated, as Dynamo is demanding between €25 million and €30 million for Ponomarenko. Previously, Galatasaray and Borussia Dortmund expressed interest in the player, but their offers—around €20 million—were rejected.
