Portugal secured a notable 2-1 victory away against Norway, ending the Scandinavian side’s impressive 14-match unbeaten home streak.
Gonçalo Ramos started in place of Cristiano Ronaldo and netted the winning goal, guiding Portugal to their second consecutive triumph in Group A4 of the UEFA Nations League.
At 41 years old, Ronaldo was named on the bench for the first time since the Nations League clash with Scotland in September 2024. He remained unused as coach Jesús aims to manage his playing time amid an extended international break.
“Every moment counts. The most important thing is to show what I can do when called upon and contribute to the team,” Ramos said after the match.
