Riyad Mahrez Terminates Contract with Al-Ahli, Becomes Free Agent
Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez has officially departed from Al-Ahli. The Saudi club announced their separation from the player on their social media channels, expressing gratitude for his outstanding performances and significant contributions to the team’s success. During his time in the Saudi Professional League, the 35-year-old midfielder featured in 122 matches, scoring 37 goals and providing 46 assists.
Mahrez is now a free agent. Notably, he also recently announced his retirement from international football. His final appearance for the Algerian national team came in the Round of 16 defeat against Switzerland at the World Cup.
