Ronaldo Sets Multiple Age-Related Records in Portugal’s Win Over Croatia
Cristiano Ronaldo emerged as one of the standout figures in the Round of 16 match at the World Cup against Croatia. The Portuguese forward scored a crucial goal, helping his national team secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
His penalty conversion in the 68th minute made Ronaldo the oldest player to score in the knockout stages of the World Cup, achieving this milestone at the age of 41 years and 147 days.
In addition to this record, Cristiano also became the oldest player ever to participate in a World Cup knockout match. Furthermore, he set the record as the oldest footballer to be awarded the “Man of the Match” title in an elimination game.
