Switzerland Maintains Unbeaten Run with 2-0 Win Over Algeria
Breel Embolo and Dan Ndoye each scored early in their respective halves to secure a 2-0 victory for Switzerland over Algeria in the Round of 16 at the World Cup, held in Vancouver.
Embolo opened the scoring for Switzerland in the 10th minute, giving his team an early lead. Just a minute into the second half, Ndoye doubled the advantage, putting the match firmly out of Algeria’s reach.
This win allowed Switzerland to maintain their unbeaten streak in the tournament, following two wins and a draw in the group stage.
On Tuesday, Switzerland will face either Colombia or Ghana at the same venue.
