Ryan Roberto Aims to Join Shakhtar’s Brazilian Legacy
Shakhtar’s new signing Ryan Roberto has given his first interview as a player for the “miners.” The 18-year-old attacking midfielder joined Shakhtar from Brazilian club Flamengo for a transfer fee of €10 million.
“When I learned about Shakhtar’s interest, I realized it was a fantastic opportunity for my career. This club has a rich tradition in European football, so their trust in me became an extra source of motivation.
I chose Shakhtar because I believe in the club and what it can offer me. I know many Brazilian players have grown here, achieved great goals, and built successful careers—I want to be part of that story as well.
I’ve already spoken with several players, and it was a very pleasant experience. My first impressions are excellent: I see a united and professional team that works hard every day to achieve great results.
I am a player who always aims to score goals, support the team, and give my all on the pitch. I am very competitive, work hard, and in every match, I will fight to represent Shakhtar in the best possible way. Of course, the fans can expect plenty of positive emotions from me on the field.
I want to improve as a footballer, win trophies, help the team with goals and quality play, and develop alongside the club. My main goal is to bring joy to the fans and make my mark in Shakhtar’s history.
I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and say that I am very happy to be here. I will work with maximum dedication every day to proudly defend the colors of this club. I hope to share many special moments with you. Big goals lie ahead, and I am confident we can achieve them together!” the club’s website quoted the player as saying.
