Shakhtar Donetsk is closely monitoring the situation surrounding 18-year-old defensive midfielder Luis Pacheco from Palmeiras and is considering making an offer for the player.
According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras has not yet received any official inquiries but remains open to negotiations if a strong proposal is presented, especially one that includes retaining a percentage of the player’s rights. The Brazilian club’s management is evaluating potential player sales to help balance their somewhat strained club budget.
Pacheco was recently called up to the Brazil U20 national team for friendly matches against Bolivia but stayed with Palmeiras at the request of head coach Abel Ferreira. The young midfielder has already featured in 11 matches for Palmeiras’ first team, making his debut in early 2026. Ferreira has publicly praised the promising talent, and the club will undoubtedly aim to secure the highest possible return for him.
