England’s head coach Thomas Tuchel addressed questions about his future with the national team following their 1-2 loss to Argentina in the 2026 World Cup semi-final.
“We will honor the contract through the home European Championship. I am looking forward to it, although it’s difficult to think that far ahead right now,” Tuchel told Sky Sports.
Meanwhile, Tuchel’s overly cautious approach in the semi-final has sparked fierce criticism across England. Former striker Chris Sutton was particularly outspoken: “The team never showed quality football throughout the entire match. Today, the national team did a great favor to the opponent. I believe this was a coaching disaster. Tuchel will have to answer many questions.”
