Udinese has officially announced the signing of defender David Alaba. The four-time UEFA Champions League winner has joined the Serie A club as a free agent, with a contract running until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 34-year-old Alaba was unattached after leaving Real Madrid this summer at the conclusion of his five-year deal.
Boasting a collection of 10 Bundesliga titles, two La Liga trophies, four Champions League winner’s medals, and numerous other national, continental, and intercontinental honors, Alaba is now the most decorated active player in Serie A, surpassing his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modrić.
Alaba commented: “I have had a rich experience and achieved a lot in my career, but one thing remains unchanged: I want to compete and win again. I still aim to accomplish something special, and it is with this mindset that I will represent Udinese.”
It is worth noting that Udinese’s next match is scheduled for October 12 against Torino.
