Ukraine national team goalkeeper Dmytro Riznyk reflected on his performance in yesterday’s UEFA Nations League match against Northern Ireland, which ended in a 0-3 defeat. The goalkeeper was at fault for the third goal, mishandling the ball while coming off his line.

“A bit about the game. Embarrassed? Yes! Do I want to apologize to the fans? Yes!

Today my performance was not at its best, and I understand that very well. I am human, and every person can make mistakes! Therefore, I apologize to everyone who supported and believed until the end. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!” Riznyk wrote on Instagram.

Following this loss, Ukraine remains second in their Nations League group. The “Blue and Yellow” will face Hungary at home in their next match, scheduled for October 5 in Trnava.
