Utrecht striker Artem Stepanov suffered an injury during today’s Eredivisie match against Feyenoord. The 19-year-old forward experienced muscle discomfort while running and was substituted in the 30th minute.

It was notable that Stepanov left the pitch almost in tears.

This injury now raises concerns that the forward might miss the upcoming Ukraine national team fixtures in the UEFA Nations League. From September 25 to October 5, Andrea Maldera‘s squad is scheduled to play four matches:

September 25: Hungary vs Ukraine
September 28: Georgia vs Ukraine
October 2: Ukraine vs Northern Ireland
October 5: Ukraine vs Hungary

Earlier reports confirmed that the Ukraine team has already lost two other players due to injuries: Oleksandr Andriievskyi, midfielder for Polissya, and Artem Dovbyk, striker for Bologna.
