Liverpool’s new signing, Spanish winger Víctor Muñoz, has explained why he chose to join the Merseyside club.
“This is an opportunity you simply cannot miss. Iraola, the new Liverpool head coach, gave me confidence. During our conversations, he explained the style of football his team plays. That played a significant role in my decision,” the Spaniard said.
The transfer happened very quickly. “I was focused on the World Cup. I didn’t want to hear much about my future unless it was something serious and concrete,” Muñoz added.
It was recently confirmed that Víctor Muñoz officially moved from Osasuna to Liverpool, who triggered the winger’s release clause set at €40 million.
Last season, the midfielder scored six goals and provided two assists in 34 La Liga appearances for Osasuna.
