Bayern Munich put on a spectacular display, stepping onto the pitch in special kits celebrating Oktoberfest and marking the start of the city’s festival weekend with a resounding 7-0 victory over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena on Friday evening.
“We are absolutely delighted with this fantastic win. Now the fans can head off to Oktoberfest. It’s a great gift for them,” said Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany. “You could see today how the players fought for every ball. To score these goals, Michael Olise put in tremendous work during training, perfecting those shots. Top players need more than just talent. Behind it lies hard work.”
