Wolverhampton and Blackburn kicked off the new English Championship season yesterday, August 14, with an entertaining and nervy encounter.
The match delivered plenty of goals for the fans, while testing the nerves of both managers. Munetsi gave the home side the lead in the 18th minute, but Shane McLoughlin leveled the score just nine minutes later.
Early in the second half, the visitors took the lead through Alexander Gudjohnsen. However, Wolverhampton earned a late penalty, which Raúl Jiménez calmly converted to secure a 2-2 draw.
