Xavi Embraces Dutch Football Heritage Ahead of Netherlands Coaching Role
Javi Hernandez, the newly appointed head coach of the Netherlands national team, shared his thoughts on taking the helm of the Oranje, emphasizing his deep mental connection with the Dutch football tradition.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to become the head coach of the Netherlands national team. As a product of Barcelona, heavily influenced by Johan Cruyff and Rinus Michels, I feel a special bond with Dutch football. In a way, I consider myself a child of Dutch football. Other great coaches, especially Louis van Gaal, under whom I made my debut at Barcelona, and Frank Rijkaard, have also played significant roles in shaping me as both a player and a coach,” Javi stated.
