Football analyst Zlatan Ibrahimović named one player when asked to choose the best footballer in the world. The Swedish star awarded the top spot to Lamin Yamal.
“I believe he is the best player in the world; he is a special player for special moments,” Ibrahimović explained.
Yamal’s 45-minute performance against Saudi Arabia convinced Ibrahimović that he was witnessing the game of the planet’s finest talent.
“When the Spaniards manage to get the ball to him, he drives forward aggressively, no matter if he faces one, two, or three defenders. He fights, he creates chances, and that’s exactly what Spain needs. That’s what they lacked in their first match.”
