The first match featuring Ukrainian players at Wimbledon 2026 has concluded. Ukraine’s second seed, Marta Kostyuk, lived up to expectations by advancing to the round of 16.
Kostyuk faced off against American Emma Navarro. The Ukrainian took control early, comfortably winning the first set 6-2, but Navarro fought back to claim the second set 6-4. In the decisive third set, Kostyuk dominated, leaving her opponent with no chance and sealing the set 6-1.
Kostyuk’s next opponent could be another Ukrainian, Darya Snigur, provided she defeats American Ashlyn Krueger. That match has just begun.
