Argentine national team legend takes on key role at top NBA club

Argentine national team legend Pablo Prigioni has been appointed as the lead assistant coach to Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch.
The opening on the Timberwolves’ coaching staff emerged following the departure of Mike Norrie, who took the head coaching role at the Portland Trail Blazers.
Prigioni began his coaching career after retiring as a player in 2017. He has previously led Basconia in the EuroLeague and served as head coach of the Argentina national team. In the NBA, he was formerly an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets.
