Eastern underdog signs key Cleveland role player to a much better contract
Brooklyn Nets Secure Key Cleveland Player Kion Ellis on $18M Deal
Eastern Conference bottom-dwellers Brooklyn have secured a two-year contract worth $18 million with Kion Ellis.
The 26-year-old basketball player went undrafted but has spent the past four years competing in the NBA following his college career.
At the trade deadline, he moved from Sacramento to Cleveland, where he made a strong impression. Ellis averaged 8.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in 24 minutes per game.
The Cavaliers were unable to offer him such a lucrative deal, as they already have the highest payroll in the Eastern Conference.
