Detroit lures top Western Conference NBA player with a $51 million contract

The Detroit Pistons have secured a three-year contract worth $51 million with center John Collins.
Collins spent last season with the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 40.6% from beyond the arc.
The Pistons were looking to strengthen their frontcourt to complement point guard Cade Cunningham. Collins offers effective play in the paint combined with the ability to stretch the floor with his three-point shooting.
