Draymond Green Declines $27.7M Option to Aid Warriors’ LeBron Signing Effort
Draymond Green has declined his player option worth $27.7 million.
The Golden State Warriors legend chose to opt out in order to provide the club with greater flexibility for a potential signing of LeBron James as a free agent, as well as the possibility of trading Anthony Davis.
Green has spent his entire career with the Warriors, who selected him 35th overall in the 2012 draft. Last season, the 36-year-old forward averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in 28 minutes per game.
