Veteran NBA player Russell Westbrook may be making a move to Europe.
Analyst Evan Sidery revealed that Westbrook has attracted interest from EuroLeague clubs, although the specific teams were unclear for several weeks.
Now, Mark Jacobs from The Athletic reports that Tel Aviv’s Hapoel is seriously interested in signing him, signaling a potential start to his European career.
The American has been active in the NBA since 2008. Last season, he played for the Sacramento Kings and is currently a free agent. Over 29 minutes per game, he averaged 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
Westbrook’s peak years came during his time with Oklahoma City, where he reached the NBA Finals and earned the regular season MVP award.
