Former basketball players Enes Kanter and Royce White have announced their intention to enter the 2027 WNBA draft.
By doing so, Kanter and White aim to draw attention to controversial rules that allow transgender athletes to participate in the WNBA if they identify as such.
“If simply declaring who you are is enough, then I meet all the requirements needed to enter the WNBA draft,” Kanter stated.
