Oklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein has suffered an ankle injury and will be unable to represent the Germany national team during this summer’s World Cup qualifiers.
Hartenstein was set to return to the national squad for the first time since 2018, having been named in the preliminary roster for the upcoming qualification matches. However, after consultations with the Thunder’s medical staff, the decision was made to prioritize his recovery.
Although Hartenstein will remain with the national team during the initial phase of the training camp and assist the squad off the court, he will not be able to participate in any games.
