Werder Bremen has confirmed the return of 33-year-old striker Niclas Füllkrug, who joins the club on loan from West Ham United. The experienced forward is set to rejoin the Bundesliga side for the upcoming season.
Füllkrug previously played for Werder Bremen and was the top scorer in the German Bundesliga during the 2022/23 campaign. Since then, his career has included spells at Borussia Dortmund, where he reached the UEFA Champions League final, as well as stints with West Ham and a loan period at AC Milan. On the international stage, the striker has earned 24 caps for the Germany national team, scoring 14 goals. Now, the seasoned and physically imposing forward returns to familiar surroundings with the aim of becoming a key attacking figure for Bremen once again.
