The Houston Rockets have secured forward Tari Eason with a new five-year contract worth $81.5 million, according to insider Shams Charania.

Retaining Eason was a top priority for the Rockets during the NBA free agency period. Last season, the 25-year-old forward averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, establishing himself as a key defensive player for the team.

Selected 17th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, Eason will remain a crucial component of Houston’s future plans alongside young talents Jabari Smith Jr., Amen Thompson, and Alperen Şengün.
