Jalen Duren has signed a five-year contract with the Detroit Pistons valued at $200 million. According to HoopsHype insider Michael Scotto, Duren’s salary in the 2027/2028 season will be lower than in the first year of the deal but will then increase each subsequent season.
In the 2026/2027 season, Duren is set to earn $40.16 million, followed by $36.95 million the next year. His salary will rise to $38.96 million in 2028/2029, $40.96 million in 2029/2030, and reach $42.97 million in the 2030/2031 season.
This contract ranks as the second-largest in Detroit history by total value. The franchise’s biggest deal belongs to Cade Cunningham, whose five-year contract increased from $224 million to $269 million after the Rose Rule was applied. Together, Duren and Cunningham form the most expensive player duo in franchise history and remain central to Detroit’s long-term plans.
