Cleveland Cavaliers defender James Harden is reportedly willing to accept a reduction in his annual salary in exchange for the team signing a top restricted free agent or providing additional guarantees through a new multi-year contract, according to ESPN insider Mark Spears.
Harden previously declined his player option worth $42.3 million for the 2026/2027 season, becoming an unrestricted free agent, but he remains in ongoing negotiations with Cleveland.
