The opening games of the upcoming 2026/2027 NBA season are set for October 20. The matchups will feature the Detroit Pistons facing the Boston Celtics, the New York Knicks taking on the Philadelphia 76ers, and the San Antonio Spurs competing against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The NBA has also announced the schedule for the Christmas Day games on December 25. A total of five games will be played: New York Knicks versus San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics against Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers facing Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves taking on Oklahoma City Thunder, and Golden State Warriors playing Denver Nuggets.
