Newly established Italian club strengthens squad with US national team player

The basketball club “Максима Рома,” making its professional debut this year, has signed Matt Ryan.
The 29-year-old player has NBA experience, having played for Boston, Los Angeles Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, and New York Knicks. Over 82 regular season games, he shot 40.2% from beyond the three-point line.
Following his NBA career, Ryan competed in Japan, and last season he spent several months under contract with the Dubai club.
This summer, he represented the USA national team in the qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup.
