France captain Kylian Mbappé addressed the ongoing debate surrounding the Ballon d’Or rivalry with Ousmane Dembélé. The Real Madrid forward recently claimed he was the best player of the season.

“Are there any issues between me and Dembélé because of my comments about the Ballon d’Or? There are no problems between us. I’ve already spoken with him, he’s my friend, and everything is fine,” Mbappé reassured.

“Whenever international breaks and France national team matches come around, people always try to stir up controversy,” Mbappé added.

France will kick off their campaign in the new edition of the UEFA Nations League with an away game against Turkey on September 25.
