Brajan Gruda will miss Germany’s upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures after being sent back to his club due to an abdominal injury. The 22-year-old Leipzig midfielder suffered a strain to his oblique muscles during the away game against Bayer.

As a result, Gruda will be unable to make his national team debut during this international window. This setback comes after he featured in five matches for his club this season, scoring one goal.

Germany is set to begin their Nations League campaign with a match against the Netherlands on 24 September.
