Monaco has officially approached the Adriatic League management with a request to join the league’s second division (ABA League 2) starting from the next season.
This move follows Monaco‘s exclusion from professional competitions in France by the basketball federation and the National Olympic Committee.
The Adriatic League president, Ostojа Mijailović, had rejected Monaco‘s entry into the top division during the summer but emphasized openness to the possibility of the club participating in the second division in the future. Initially, the club was reluctant to compete in the Adriatic League’s second tier but has now reconsidered due to the lack of alternative options.
