Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain. The Spanish manager acknowledged PSG as the favorites for the match in Salzburg but emphasized that his team is ready to compete fiercely. Emery paid particular attention to the French club’s head coach, Luis Enrique.
“I have great respect for coaches like Guardiola and Arteta, but right now I believe Luis Enrique is the best. He has won the Champions League twice, not counting his previous success with Barcelona. Facing him is a real challenge and a serious test. I love competing against the best, and we will do everything possible to find the optimal solution,” Emery candidly assessed his opponent’s level.
