Real Madrid director Juan Carlos Sanchez has expressed a strong desire for the NBA to expand its presence in Europe as soon as possible.
“We are very eager for the NBA to come to Europe. The NBA is the world’s leading league, and its arrival would provide basketball on the continent with a massive boost economically, in media coverage, and overall market presence.
“It would be like getting a Ferrari for the weekend. A European NBA would be incredibly important for every club. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. But for now, we need to focus on competing in the Spanish league and the EuroLeague, aiming to win every possible title. If the NBA does come to us later, the first championship ring will go to Madrid,” Sanchez stated.
