Serhiy Hladyr, the Ukrainian coach of Monaco, expressed how deeply painful the decision to bar Monaco from the top division of the French championship is for many connected to the club.
“Supporters come to talk with us, to encourage us, and to tell us to keep fighting,” he shared.
He sincerely hopes that the decision-makers at the CNOSF (National Olympic and Sports Committee of France) and the FFBB (French Basketball Federation) will “recognize this human dimension.”
Reminding everyone that behind this administrative case are “men, women, families, jobs, players, youth, and an entire community,” the Monaco coach emphasized that the final ruling will have “consequences for hundreds of people directly or indirectly connected to the club, as well as for thousands of fans.”
Serhiy also expressed gratitude to those who continue to come to work despite the situation.
“I want to take my hat off to all my colleagues. Everyone comes to work giving not only their maximum effort but also pouring their heart and soul into it.
For us, the Monaco team is much more than just a club. Many have dedicated years of their lives to the team.”
