Tony Parker, president of ASVEL, recently met in Lyon with Joey and Jesse Buss, sons of the late former Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss.
The Buss brothers visited the French club as Parker continues to explore opportunities for bringing new investors into the ownership structure. Jesse previously served as the Lakers’ director of scouting, while Joey was president of the G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. Both departed from the organization in November 2025.
ASVEL is currently facing significant financial difficulties, which have caused several high-profile transfers to collapse during the offseason. At present, only Patti Mills, Edwin Jackson, Bodgan Gajic, Nate Sestina, Yves Pons, Joel Bolomboy, and Bodian Massa remain under contract with the club.
