Jabari Parker to Begin New Season with Partizan After Challenging EuroLeague Year

Forward Jabari Parker is set to begin preparations for the new season with Partizan.
Parker joined Partizan from Barcelona a year ago in what was the most expensive transfer in the club’s history. However, he struggled to secure a regular spot in the lineup and was loaned out to Joventut in February. During his time in the EuroLeague, he appeared in 15 games, averaging 7.7 points and 2.5 rebounds over 19.2 minutes per game.
Partizan was unable to transfer Parker to Joventut on a permanent basis due to his contract, which carries a salary of around €2.5 million per year. Interest in the player on the market is virtually nonexistent. The Serbian club will explore other transfer options for the 2014 draft’s second pick but does not rule out the possibility that Parker will start the new season in Belgrade.
