Artem Kovalov, a forward for the Ukraine national team, will spend the upcoming season with Azerbaijani club Ordu.
Kovalov began last season with the German side Bayreuth, where he averaged 9.8 points and 4.8 rebounds over 11 games. In December, after losing his place in the lineup, he moved to Taiwan to join Yankee Art, where he improved his performance, averaging 14.8 points and 9.0 rebounds across 13 games.
During the previous season, Ordu topped one of the two groups in the first stage of the Azerbaijani championship, winning 18 of 20 matches. However, their campaign ended abruptly in the first round of the playoffs with a 1-2 defeat to Ganja.
In the qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, Artem Kovalov represented Ukraine in three matches.
