AC Milan’s head coach Ruben Amorim spoke ahead of the derby against Inter about his Brazilian forward Rafael Leao. The player had been considering a club change this summer, but the Rossoneri did not receive any offers for him.
“Rafa is fortunate to play for a club like Milan, so he should be happy,” Amorim stated confidently. “I feel that he is happy and highly motivated.
I don’t know what will happen before the transfer window closes, but I sense the team is genuinely united. I haven’t noticed any difference in performance between Leao and the other players.”
Milan still values Leao at €60 million, but given the relatively quiet transfer market at this price point, the club has confirmed it is willing to accept €50 million for his departure.
