Aston Villa, the reigning Europa League champions, are set to contest the UEFA Super Cup against PSG next Wednesday. Today, the English side will play their final warm-up match ahead of that showdown.
Unai Emery’s squad will face Bayern Munich in Hong Kong.
Villa’s right-back Matty Cash is eager to conclude the summer tour on a high note and is looking forward to the challenge against Bayern.
“It’s going to be a tough test. Probably one of the best teams in the world right now, so it’s a great challenge for us,” Cash told Aston Villa’s official website. “It’s going to be really exciting; another strong opponent. We’re looking forward to the game and hope it prepares us well for the match against PSG.”
Cash also reflected on the team’s preseason tour, describing it as demanding due to the heat and travel, but overall rewarding.
“Everything has been great, very hot, and wherever we went, the conditions were tough but very enjoyable. We experienced different cultures in Jakarta, Bangkok, and now Hong Kong. It’s been really wonderful, and hopefully, we can finish it off with a good performance,” Cash added.
