Negotiations have begun between Manchester City and Barcelona regarding the transfer of Rodri. It appears these discussions will not be straightforward.
The player himself has already agreed on personal terms with the Catalan club, signing a contract that runs until 2030. Under this agreement, Rodri is set to earn 15 million euros annually.
However, Barcelona still needs to secure the Spanish midfielder from Manchester City. Their initial bid, just over 45 million euros, was rejected.
Manchester City insists that the player, who was named the best player at the World Cup, is worth more.
As a result, Barcelona will have to revise their offer to meet City’s valuation.
