Atlanta Hawks center Henri Veesaar has suffered a torn right anterior cruciate ligament.
The Estonian big man is set to undergo surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old spent the last four seasons competing in the NCAA. The Hawks selected him with the 52nd overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Veesaar becomes the third Estonian player in NBA history. Martin Müürsepp appeared in 81 games for the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks between 1996 and 1998, while Henri Drell played four games for the Chicago Bulls in the 2023/24 season.
